DC Care completes sale of care home group


Specialist healthcare business agent DC Care has completed the sale of the HICA’s four homes.

The last of the homes, Parklands Care Home in Rawcliffe, near Goole, East Yorkshire has been sold to Sensation Care.

DC Care regional director Alison Willoughby said: “This is the fourth home in the group that we were instructed to market and we are absolutely delighted that we have been able to assist HICA in the sale.”

Sensation Care plan to improve and extend Parklands and make it the flagship home in the area.

HICA has reorganised its portfolio of homes to focus on high dependency dementia care.

DC Care also sold HICA’s Holyrood House, Danes Lea and Stanage Lodge homes in East Yorkshire and North East Lincolnshire.

Clare Jones, senior sales negotiator who managed the group of sales on behalf of HICA,  said: “When you speak on a very regular basis with clients, you get a real understanding of the type of operator they are and develop a level of trust.

“I really am thrilled that I was able to help HICA and wish them the very best for their future business aims.”
