Country Court invites public to sample its blueprint for luxury care home design

A brand new luxury care home in Huntingdon is set to open its doors next month and is inviting local members of the community to get an exclusive glimpse of the facilities it offers.

Ferrars Hall is a 66-bed care home operated by Country Court Care that has received £6.6m worth of investment. It plans to host a public open day on Sunday 12 June, where management and staff will be on hand to answer questions and offer refreshments to those wishing to look around.

Ferrars Hall has been built from traditional stone while incorporating state-of-the-art design and functionality. The operator hopes the event will give it an oppSAM_2105bortunity to showcase how style and elegance can be incorporated into the development of a care home.

On the residential floor, it has strived to create an environment that exudes elegance and comfort and which can be enjoyed by residents without feeling like they are in a care home.

For residents living with dementia, Country Court has worked alongside its specialist interior design contractor to create home environments that enable residents to find their way around independently, and live in comfort.

Home manager, Yvonne Duffy, explains: “All residents will benefit from a fantastic range of facilities including a hair salon, café/bistro, shop, cinema room, numerous lounges and communal areas, and a beautifully landscaped garden.”

SAM_2054Ferrars Hall is now pre-booking admissions, with residents able to move in after 10 June. The property will be the latest care home to join the Country Court Care group. It currently owns 21 care homes, which provide care for up to 975 elderly people across the UK.

The organisation is planning to build five new high quality care homes by the end of 2017.
