Priory Court

Country Court Care’s Burnham Nursing and Care Home in Burnham-on-Sea has been renamed Priory Court Care & Nursing Home.

The rebranding follows a recent CQC inspection which rated the service Good in all areas.

“We wanted to mark this new chapter for our care and nursing home with a new name,” said Home Manager Raji Sunil.

“We’ve made many positive changes here; from a complete refurbishment of the top floor and communal areas, new staff and management team and now our overall Good CQC report. We felt that the time was right to announce a change of name.”

Priory Court Care and Nursing Home offers nursing, residential and dementia care for up to 71 residents.

The name ‘Priory Court’ ensures that links to the local area in Burnham-on-Sea are retained and the former use of the buildings as a convent is also acknowledged.

The team at Priory Court Care & Nursing Home are committed to further development of their staff skills base and are working towards their Gold Standards Framework accreditation in End of Life care.

The Gold Standards Framework (GSF) ensures nurses and carers, as well as the entire staff team, offer the highest standards of care and support to allow residents and families to make decisions on how they wish to be cared for at the end of their lives. The Gold Standards Framework accreditation takes around two years to complete and is independently assessed against best practice standards.
