Country Court Care opened the first of five new homes that have been made possible with the securing of a £40 million line of credit from Cheyne Capital Management.
The finance was put to work in partnership with LNT Construction, which sold projects under development to Country Court Care.
LNT is building all five care homes, including Ferrars Hall, which opened in Huntingdon last week.
Ferrars Hall Care Home is a 66-en suite bedroom luxury residential and specialist dementia care home. On site services include a beauty and hairdressing salon, a family room, a café, shop and cinema.
The interior of Ferrars Hall was designed by Samantha Lord.
The ribbon was cut for the home by the Mayor of Huntingdon, Councillor Daryll Brown and Country Court Care’s chief executive officer, Abdul Kachra.
Country Court Care’s managing director, Alykhan Kachra, welcomed dignitaries with a promise to continue building premium homes that put the residents and families at the heart of every decision.
Ferrars Hall Care Home, along with the other four homes under construction, are targeting self-funding residents paying around £950 per week for their accommodation. However, Mr Kachra revealed to Care Home Professional that conversations were also taking place with local authorities about the possibility of accepting CCG-funded residents.
