Advice and information on care home funding is being provided at a Country Court Care home.

Tallington Lodge Care Home in Lincolnshire is hosting the ‘Planning for long term care event’ on March 8 from 2pm to 4pm.

Joe Wey, Customer Relations Manager for Tallington Lodge, said: “We hope this event will be able to help people who have lots of questions about care home funding, as it can be an incredibly confusing situation to navigate.

The afternoon will begin with an opening talk by Nicky Cave from Eldercare Solutions. Nicky is an award-winning care fees adviser and a member of the Society of Later Life Advisers (SOLLA). She specialises in providing advice on all aspects of funding a stay in a care home.

Nicky will be followed by Clare Newton, a solicitor at Daltons. Clare specialises in private client work, which includes advising on and drafting paperwork in respect of Lasting Powers of Attorney and Deputyship.

Clare also gives inheritance tax planning advice, drafts wills and deals with probate. Clare attends upon clients in hospital and care homes and is used to dealing with clients with long-term conditions, including dementia.
