Country Court Care has continued its expansion with the acquisition of two Somerset homes.

The provider has acquired the 32-bed Stanton Court (pictured) in Stanton Drew near Bristol and 20-bed care home The Laurels in Draycott near Cheddar from Brightwell Care Limited.

Alykhan Kachra, managing director of Country Court Care Group, said:  “We are extremely thrilled to have acquired Stanton Court and The Laurels from Brightwell Care Limited, a company whose family values fitted very closely with our own.

Family owned business Country Court Care was established in 1983 and is headquartered in Peterborough.

The group has grown from 200 to 900 beds in less than eight years. The latest acquisitions take its number of care facilities to 24.

Country Court Care opened the first of five premium homes under development in June this year, which have been financed through a £40m credit line from Cheyne Capital  Management (see Country Court opens first of five premium homes under development).
