Closed Enfield care home sold through Christie & Co

St Catherine’s House

Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has announced the sale of St Catherine’s House in Enfield, North London.

The 14-bed home, which began providing accommodation to elderly residents in 1948, was closed in July 2019 after owners, ADR Care Homes, decided to sell to concentrate on other homes in East Anglia.

One of the company’s directors commented: “St Catherine’s was our first care home so the decision to sell wasn’t an easy one. We’ve known Christie & Co for many years and know Jordan Oborne to be proactive and extremely easy to work with, so we were confident he would do his very best for us. We’re delighted to pass the site into capable hands and look forward to seeing it grow in the future.”

Jordan Oborne, Associate Director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, added: “We received a lot of interest from residential developers and care operators, and I’m pleased to say that the property will be brought back into use within the care sector, providing a valuable service within the community.

“This sale is a great example of continued investment within the sector and the highest value being found from buyers in healthcare.”

St. Catherine’ House was sold off an asking price of £1,300,000.
