Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has announced the letting of Ty Llandaff Care Home in Cardiff to Care Concern.
The home, which was completed in December 2016, was built on the former site of St Winefride’s Hospital.
Martin Gould, director in the healthcare division of Christie & Co, who brokered the transaction along with Rob Kinsman on behalf of 55 Plus Limited, said: “The strategic location of the former St Winefride’s Hospital site together with the state-of-the-art facilities created by our clients ensured we received a strong level of interest in the property from both local and national corporate operators.
“We are delighted to secure a deal to Care Concern Group who operate a number of care homes in Scotland and England with Ty Llandaff being their first venture into Wales.”
The home will care for up to 71 people with nursing and dementia care needs.
It will include a library, luxury spa, gym and restaurant-quality chef, with all rooms having en suite wet rooms.
A Care Concern director said: “It has been a pleasure to work with 55 Plus Limited who have been able to offer Care Concern a fantastic market-leading facility in the vibrant city of Cardiff.
“We have now been open for three months and the response we have received and interest in the care home has been very positive.”
