CHP SURVEY: Should COVID vaccination be mandatory for care home workers?

News that the government is considering making COVID vaccinations mandatory for health and social care workers has sparked fierce debate within the care home sector.

The news, which broke last month, came as around one in five care home workers are yet to receive their first COVID jab.

Care home providers have taken a range of stances on the issue of whether staff vaccination should be mandatory.

Barchester and Care UK have introduced ‘no jab, no job’ policies while Four Seasons and NorseCare are amongst those arguing that vaccination should remain optional.

Not for profit operators MHA and The Orders of St John Trust, meanwhile, have said any decision on mandatory vaccination should be left to the government.

With opinion so clearly divided amongst leading providers, CHP wants to hear your views on whether vaccination should be mandatory.
