Anchor is adding a £16.6 million second phase development to its Bishopstoke Park luxury retirement village near Winchester.

The current site offers independent living, assisted living and an onsite care home built around the 19th century Mount stately home.

The village offers a swimming pool, spa and wellness centre, bistro, cafe and delicatessen.

Castleoak will deliver the second phase of the Hampshire village, which will add 73 one and two bedroom apartments.

“We are delighted to be working with Castleoak on phase two of Bishopstoke Park,” said Dominic Hayes, director of property development and procurement at Anchor.

“The village offers residents an exceptionally high quality, aspirational living environment and we needed a specialist experienced in delivering schemes of this calibre. This will be the eleventh project we have worked on with Castleoak and we are confident they have the expertise required to manage the successful delivery of the project,” added Mr Hayes.

Castleoak’s chief executive, Craig Currie, says he is proud to be building on the long term partnership the developer has built with Anchor. “Over the last fifteen years we have built an excellent working relationship with Anchor that allows us to share our collective experience in retirement living to improve design and quality.

“We aim to add value at every stage of the project and ensure the new apartments will be an asset to this already thriving community.”
