Caring Homes has officially opened its latest home in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex.
The family-run operator employs around 5000 people caring for 3000 residents in 63 homes.
The latest home, Southlands Place, was built on the site of the former Southlands Hotel in Bexhill.
It offers residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 72 residents.
The state-of-the art home boasts en-suite bedrooms, a cinema room, Little Acorns Café, a therapy room two hairdressing salons as well as a private dining room, several smaller lounges and kitchen areas for residents’ own use.
Brigid Sedour, home manager of Southlands Place, hosted an official opening in the company of Mayor of Bexhill, Cllr Maurice Watson, this week.
“We are delighted to be able to welcome the Mayor and show him how this site has been transformed into a modern-day care home. We are also pleased to be able to bless the home, as we do all new Caring Homes care homes,” said Sedour.
“Many of our staff have been recruited from the local area, and the first of our new residents will be joining us this week. We can’t wait for them to arrive.”
