Richard said: “I believe that the core principles of care have not changed. We should look beyond the label of disability and see the person – find ways to help people to live in a way that satisfies them.”

He brings more than 30 years’ experience of nursing older people, and completed his MBA in 2005.

Previous posts include regional operations director for Barchester Healthcare, director of care services at Care South and care director at The Orders of St John.

Jane’s career in private sector elderly care spans almost 30 years as a staff nurse, deputy home manager and regional manager with a strong focus on dementia care.

She was previously operations director for HC-One and care and quality director at Gracewell Healthcare.

Her vision is to share her experience with her regional managers “to create an innovative and forward thinking culture, understanding what is happening in the wider care industry and giving the very best care we can”.
