Care UK has opened its third home in six months with the launch of Chandler Court in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.
The four-storey care home, which was opened by local vicar, Reverend Ray Khan, features 81 en-suite bedrooms and incorporates space for hobby and leisure activities with facilities including a cinema, hairdressing salon and café.
Home manager, Jo Gill, said: “We were delighted to welcome Reverend Ray Khan to officially open the home and mark this important milestone. We would also like to thank Councillor Rita Dent, Patricia Jenkins, and everyone who visited and helped to make this such a special day.
“Since we opened the doors to Chandler Court, the residents and their families have been at the heart of everything we do, including the launch celebrations. It was fantastic to welcome so many local people to the home. Our grand launch really was a day to remember.”
The official launch provided fun activities for all the family, including a special baking demonstration in the dining room, mocktail making in the cinema, and roving artwork from a local silhouette artist.
The D-Day Darlings, 1940s singers, entertained guests with a special performance of some of the residents’ favourite songs.
