“I believe that in order to be a successful home manager you need to be an excellent communicator, respectful, kind, and always willing to learn. I’m looking forward to starting a new chapter here in Horndean, delivering the highest quality of care possible. More than anything, I’m looking forward to putting smiles on the residents’ faces, knowing they are having a joyful time at a happy home.”

Customer Relations Manager Emily Forbes has also joined the home’s team. Emily previously worked within the NHS and has a passion for helping others and adapting environments to suit individual needs.

Emily said: “My previous role involved organising events and activities, and I am looking forward to continuing this with residents at Pear Tree Court. Most of all, however, I am looking forward to meeting new families and residents and making them feel at home. I am excited to be joining a new team here in Horndean, and to welcoming residents through the doors in the near future.”

The three-storey care home, which will feature 72 ensuite bedrooms, has been designed to enable its residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence. The care home will incorporate space for hobby and leisure activities and will include its own cinema, hairdressing salon and café.
