Ten dedicated carers have been living in their care home for over five weeks to help shield residents from the coronavirus.
The dedicated team at Fairhaven Lodge in Lytham St Annes have put the safety of their elderly residents before their own families.
Home managers Carol Williams and Geraldine Barnes told CHP: “We are proud to say that at Fairhaven we have a dedicated team who have put their service users before their own families.
“It’s the hardest thing not seeing your family but we are proud to announce that because of the dedication of the team we have seen no sign of coronavirus in the home.”
The heroic workforce is being supported by family members who are fetching supplies to the home.
Carol’s son and future daughter-in-law are even providing entertainment to boost morale through the Internet.
“We are constantly being thanked by our service users’ families for the dedication staff are showing to keep their family members safe which is much appreciated,” the managers said.
“So we just wanted to let everyone know how proud and thankful we are for their support.”
Fairhaven Lodge supports up to 25 elderly people, including those living with dementia.
The home is rated Good in all categories by the CQC.
