Care Check processes 2000th client application since start of 2016

Care Check, which conducts criminal record checks on staff being employed in the care industry, has enrolled 2000 new clients since January this year.

Care Check works with organisations ranging from small care homes through to NHS primary care trusts, performing Enhanced Criminal Record Checks for people working and volunteering within regulated industries and Basic Criminal Record Checks through Disclosure Scotland for individuals and organisations not entitled to request the Higher Level Standard and Enhanced Disclosures.

Its online system aims to speed up turnaround times while eliminating administrative errors for DBS applications and DBS Adult First Checks.

“Our e-Bulk service is completely paperless and has revolutionised the way our clients process their DBS applications. No form needs to be sent out and no signatures are required. We also offer the traditional Paper Route for clients not wishing to utilise the e-Bulk service,” the company states.

Care Check doesn’t charge any registration, set up or membership fees and there is no minimum or maximum threshold on the amount of applications that can be submitted.

Care homes pay only for each application, with administration charges range from £4 to £10 for electronic online applications plus the relevant DBS or Disclosure Scotland fees.
