HC-One has announced the creation of 130 jobs at its support office in Darlington following its agreement to acquire 122 Bupa care homes.

The jobs cover a variety of support roles, at a range of levels at the Darlington based care provider.

David Smith, HC-One’s CFO, said: “We are delighted to announce the creation of these 130 new jobs in Darlington, re-enforcing our commitment to the area and to expanding our position as an employer in the local economy at such an exciting time for HC-One.

The move follows HC-One’s agreement to buy Bupa 122 care homes (see BREAKING NEWS: HC-One agrees to buy 122 care homes).

The care provider, meanwhile, said this week it had secured a deal to manage care services provided by Retirement Villages Group (see HC-One secures deal to head up care management of Retirement Villages Group homes).
