Gracewell at Maids Moreton care home in Buckinghamshire has been rated ‘outstanding’ by the CQC.
Inspectors rated the home outstanding for being caring and well-led and ‘good’ for being safe, effective, and responsive to people’s needs.
Debbie Ivanova, deputy chief inspector for Adult Social Care (South), said: “We were delighted to see that people were able to take part in a wide range of meaningful activities within the home and in the local community.
“It was encouraging to see care that was person-centred and how the kind and compassionate staff knew people’s needs and preferences well. People were also fully involved in the planning of their care and were able to provide feedback which was acted upon.
“People benefited from a service that had a clear commitment to providing high-quality and exceptional care. People were encouraged to maintain important relationships and roles with relatives and were supported to attend family events.
“The service was exceptionally well-led and people felt happy, safe and cared for.”
Inspectors also noted that people and relatives said they had good access to healthcare while the local GP praised staff for their knowledge of people and how they responded to any changes in people’s health.
The GP said: “I have booked my bed; I would have no hesitation in recommending the home.”
