South West charity Brunelcare is celebrating after its Palliative Care Team at Robinson House care home scooped an award.

The team took the ‘Palliative Care’ prize at the Care and Support West Awards 2017 held on 14 October at Bristol’s Ashton Gate Stadium.

Jan Little, Director of Care Homes for Brunelcare, said: “I am absolutely delighted for Joy White and the team at Robinson House for winning this award. They work incredibly hard to ensure they provide the very best care for people who are coming to the end of their life, so it is wonderful that they have been recognised for the excellent service they provide.”

Kevin Fairman, CEO Brunelcare, added: “We are immensely proud of all of our people and our Palliative Care Team that has won this award. Our employees provide this vital service to people and their families on a day-to-day basis, so it’s very pleasing to see them to be recognised in this way by Care and Support South West.”

The award celebrates the work of individual employees and organisations who have demonstrated outstanding excellence in the social and health care sector through their passion for caring.

The Palliative Care Team also hold the Gold Standards Framework national Quality Hallmark award for end of life care.
