Booking are now open for the Midlands Digital Health and Care Week which runs from 12-16 October.
Organised by the West Midlands and East Midlands Academic Health Science Networks (AHSN), the event is a weeklong series of short, virtual sessions showcasing digital transformation projects from across the Midlands.
The sessions are open to NHS, social care, Government and local authority representatives and are an opportunity to hear first-hand from those delivering healthcare services and the challenges and successes they have experienced.
Providing care at a distance using digital tools
Part one, Tuesday 13 October, 12:30 – 1:30pm
Part two, Thursday 15 October, 12:30 – 1:30pm
These sessions will demonstrate the value that technology can bring for health and care professionals, enabling them to maintain connections with services and the people they care for.
Exploring digital technology in care homes
Wednesday 14 October, 12:30 – 1:45pm
This session considers the role of technology in supporting the management of care home residents and patients in the community. It will showcase the experiences of deploying and using contact-free examination and telehealth solutions in care homes at scale and focus on digital literacy and supporting digital capability of care professionals.
Digital transformation – the golden thread of the new world
Friday 16 October, 8:30am – 9:15am
Join this session to hear key updates from the NHS England Midlands region Digital Transformation Team on sustaining and embedding the changes made through the new ways of working brought about by COVID-19.
