Black Swan appoints first woman board director

Susan Webster has become the first woman to sit on the board of directors at Black Swan Care Group.

The former operations manager for the group, who was recruited in October 2012, joins fellow directors and founders, Clive Hill, Brett Burton and Steve Winfield, and managing director Tom Lyons.

A Black Swan spokesperson said: “This is an exciting position which means that Susan will be taking an active role in the management of the business, and play a part in Black Swan Care Group’s future strategy giving her more authority within the company.

“We’re incredibly proud to have Susan at the very top and we know her input will be an invaluable asset to the company. She has been a shining light ever since she first joined the company and we couldn’t think of anyone better to join the board.

“She has proven herself to be hard-working, brilliant, adaptable and not afraid to stand her ground and voice her opinion – all characteristics we look for in our board members.”
