Fulcrum’s Care Home IPC Health Checks were developed in response to the uncertainty created for care home managers and owners by the coronavirus pandemic.
With a need to rethink systems and procedures overnight, many were confused as to whether they were getting it right, particularly with the government and inspectors being slow to provide concrete guidelines.
We developed our Care Home IPC Health Checks to provide independent assessments audits to ensure compliance within the shifting landscape to provide reassurance to owners, managers and key stakeholders. Built on our TRST (The Responsive and Safe Treatment) Framework, our audits include action plans and recommendations to ensure homes take proactive action to address areas of concern and to create a route map towards achieving best practice.
Fulcrum uses a cloud-based quality management system platform to host the IPC Health Checks so the team visiting care homes has access to the assessment framework from anywhere.
This enables consultants to take photos of good and/or poor practice and upload them through their phones to demonstrate to managers and staff what’s going well and where they need to improve.
