CEO of not for profit dementia specialist Belong, Tracey Stakes, has announced her intention to retire later this year.

Belong said the recruitment of Tracey’s successor was underway and that she will remain in her post until at least October to ensure a smooth handover.

Tracey joined the organisation in 1997 (then CLS Care Services Ltd) and was appointed as Belong Chief Executive in 2017, having played an instrumental role in the development and expansion of the Belong village model as Finance Director and member of the executive team.

She leaves Belong to be closer to her family by relocating down south, and to dedicate more time to voluntary and other roles.

Chair of the Belong Board, Nicola Brooks, said: “As one of Belong’s founding members, Tracey has played a key part in developing our vibrant village model and strong organisational culture. She will be much missed across the organisation, which she leaves in a solid financial position, in spite of the challenges of COVID-19. We look forward to working with her successor and the other members of Belong’s experienced executive team as we continue to innovate into the future.”
