Barchester residents have been delighted by the return of pet therapy to a North London care home.
Residents and staff at the home welcomed a visit from their new four legged friend, Roxy (pictured).
General Manager Earl Elliott said: “Our residents have really enjoyed their furry visitor today. We knew that having Roxy here would be a bit of fun for all our residents, especially as some find it a little difficult getting out and about.
“We are always looking for different activities for the residents and we have seen the seen the enjoyment and the therapeutic influence animals can have on people and we would like to thanks Roxy and Kelly for spending time with us today.”
Resident Helen, who was very excited to meet Roxy, said: “As a child we had a dog. I have so many wonderful memories of our dog. I love animals, I am also a cat fan you know. Today was very enjoyable and it was wonderful that Roxy and her trusty assistant Katie came to see us.”
Fellow resident Terry added: “Roxy is a great little character, she gives a great furry cuddle and we can’t wait to see her again next week.”
