Barchester Healthcare has broken ground on two new care homes in southern England.

Florence Court in Fareham, Hampshire and King’s Park in Ferndown, Dorset are being built by McGoff Construction Ltd.

Senior Property Development Manager at Barchester, Grant Jensen, said: “We are very excited about the construction of our new care homes in Fareham and Ferndown, and I feel proud that our prospective residents will have such beautiful homes.

“There is a real need for quality care in the local area and our new homes will definitely meet this, and potentially give a boost to employment in neighbouring communities.”

Grant was joined at the Fareham care home development site by Project Manager Mark Tomalin, Darren Cartlidge and Craig Clancy (pictured), and at the Ferndown site by Project Manager Steve Motherwell, Ian Millar and Carl Nolan of McGoff Construction Ltd, along with Michael Coggin of Fed 3, to break ground and celebrate the start of the new builds.

Both care homes will have on site marketing suites that will open their doors to the local community, and visitors later this year, with both homes completing works and opening in 2021.
