Badgemaster, which supplies name badges for staff across the health, hospitality and social care sectors, has managed to reduce its prices for smaller quantities typically ordered by care home groups.
For quarter of century the company has always passed on the price benefits of new manufacturing techniques, but it has usually been the very largest NHS customers that have enjoyed the best discounts.
Now, the company’s managing director, Jon Bancroft, MBE, says new technology has changed its pricing structure. “We’re now in a position to complete even the shortest runs extremely cost-effectively, so we’ve overhauled our price list to make lower quantities of badges accessible at the same discounted rate previously reserved for higher volumes and are able to offer further significant savings for larger users-and the product quality is better than ever,” he says.

Badges can be ordered and re-ordered via Badgemaster’s website. “We’ve saved both time and cost by removing the need for operator input as well as the possibility of supplier generated spelling errors, as all text is entered by the customer and downloaded directly to our computerised systems,” Mr Bancroft explains. “It all contributes to low operating costs, low prices and faster service even for customers wanting just one badge.”
