Two care homes operated by Deeside Care Holdings have secured a hat-trick of finalist’s places in a prestigious awards scheme.

Rubislaw Park Care Home and Deeside Care Home have been named as finalists in three categories of the 2016 Scottish Care Home Awards which are run annually by Scottish Care.

Deeside Care Holdings director of care (Aberdeenshire) Kristin Jackson-Brown said: “Across our sites, we are committed to providing care of the very highest standard in a ‘home-from-home’ environment.  Reaching the finals in so many categories of these prestigious awards is exciting recognition of our ongoing efforts.

“This achievement is testament to the hard work and dedication of each and every member of the team at both locations, and we are now crossing our fingers for a successful evening in Glasgow in November.”

The awards celebrate ‘the tremendous work undertaken by organisations and staff who work in residential care and nursing home services’.

The catering team at Rubislaw Park Care Home have reached the final stages of the Nutrition & Eating Well award, whilst Sarah Taylor is a finalist in the category to recognise Carer of the Year.  In addition, Deeside Care Home in Cults has been shortlisted in the category for Care Home Service of the Year.

The award winners will be announced during a ceremony at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow on November 18.
