Kelly has been a driving force in setting up and developing the Carlauren Care service delivery model from the empty shell of Latimer Lodge, advising on its redevelopment and refurbishment to hotel quality accommodation for people in later years, overseeing recruitment, induction training and employment, implementing policy and procedure and working with multi-disciplinary teams in welcoming new residents to Latimer Lodge.

Kelly did this with empathy and consideration making new residents feel welcome and safe ensuring they felt valued and their dignity was respected at all times. The first resident moved in March 2017, since then Latimer Lodge has developed into a thriving community with many happy residents receiving 5 goods in all areas at the last CQC Inspection.

Since then Kelly has been instrumental in setting up Tyndale House, Somerset Care At Home Services and the Isle of Wight Care At Home services.

Kelly’s great strength alongside a strong skill set of compliance, risk management, and excellent communication skills is dedication in developing staff teams and providing bespoke person-centred care for all those who choose to have their needs met by Carlauren Care.

Kelly will continually remind us that everyone is an individual, so their care packages must also be individualised, and everyone has the right to live their life the way they want to. Kelly educates staff to help residents by taking positive risk management strategies that create independence not dependence. This is the culture she has instilled throughout her fast-growing service provision portfolio.

Recognising the importance of continuity of care, as this can be embarrassing for someone in receipt of personal care, Kelly retains her staff team by ensuring all have a career journey, all receive regular supervision and appraisal with the objective of becoming an employer and care provider of choice.
