Rob is a multi-skilled Leader and the driving force behind the growth of Carlauren Care. Under Rob’s leadership in the first year of trading Carlauren Care won two major awards and were finalist in another and our first care home received 5 goods in its CQC rating.
One of Rob’s great assets is that he builds teams, often saying that a group of people is just a group of people working under one roof, but a team of people is where everyone recognises each other qualities and strengths and selflessly works to the common goal.
A people motivator, Rob develops qualities in people that that they don’t know they have in order to boost their contribution as well as their own feelings of worth and value. Like all sensible leaders, Rob believes motivated staff are happy staff and making them feel valued gets results.
One of the challenges facing a new care business is building up trust and confidence. Carlauren Care launched with no customers and no strong branding in the social care market. Rob led by example, networking with health and social care professionals, building links with Alzheimer’s Society Ambassadors and speaking about the Carlauren’s vison to improve accommodation and quality of life for people in later years. Having been a care professional since 1981, Rob has extensive experience of providing premium care services to the vulnerable with compassion and empathy balanced against an outstanding knowledge of the sector. Rob also knows all our residents by name, which is pretty impressive for an MD.
