Laurence Geller CBE is the Chairman of Innovative Aged Care (IAC).
An accomplished businessman and entrepreneur, he has led multi-national corporations in hospitality, most recently as president and chief executive officer of Strategic Hotels & Resorts. Previously, he held positions as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Hyatt Development Corporation, where he jointly founded Classic Residences, a US nationwide senior living and healthcare company.
In May 2011, Laurence was appointed chancellor of the University of West London, where he is leading the expansion programme in Dementia Care at the University’s College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare. He was co-chair of Alzheimer’s Society National Appeal Board and is now the Society’s Global Business Ambassador.
Laurence has applied his extensive experience and passion into the framework of Chelsea Court Place, the first care home launch for IAC. His philanthropy in both dementia research and education, combined with his personal experience of the disease, have inspired and driven this project, which has been a success since its opening in October 2016. Laurence’s infectious passion commands the highest standards and very best service, ensuring the needs of each and every resident and member are exceeded.
The IAC chairman is as much of an inspiration to the team as he is to the industry. The company’s core belief Above & Beyond is translated into the staff training programme – not just for care but also for our hospitality staff, encouraging the team to excel and further their knowledge.
Laurence is leading the team to achieve the vision of opening more care homes specialising in dementia throughout the UK to provide similar, much-needed services over the next 18 months.
