Jonathan, who is 30 years old, manages a total of 260 care beds across three locations. This will increase to 350 beds in September when Yorkare open its latest home, Beverley Parklands.
Jonathan aims to provide the highest quality care in luxury environments, while looking to use innovative technologies to make this time of residents lives as happy and fulfilled as possible. His standards have been recognised by CQC with Magdalen Park in Hedon gaining Outstanding – the first for a private care home in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Inspectors noted: “The registered provider demonstrated how they had achieved Outstanding practice, development and improvement at the service. The leadership sought out creative ways to provide a personalised service and had achieved excellent results through exploring best practice and implementing this at Magdalen Park. The registered provider and manager demonstrated clear visions and values and were passionate and committed to providing an excellent person centred service for people and their relatives.”
Last year Jonathan set up the first private Enhanced Dementia Care Unit in the county working alongside the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. He is part of the council’s local action groups seeking best practice.
