Aneurin has excelled since he joined Hallmark Care Homes in February 2014. He began his career as Hospitality Services Manager at Greenhill Manor, in Merthyr Tydfil. Through this role he acquired several qualifications, mainly around health and safety and food safety, and was able to go on to train others.
This role extended and he was seen as a key trainer for all homes in Wales, frequently being asked to hold training sessions across the region.
Aneurin has since been promoted to Health and Safety Manager, where he oversees the running of the homes from a health and safety perspective, ensuring they are operating safely. This is a new role at Hallmark Care Homes, having previously been outsourced, meaning Aneurin has the ability to completely shape the health and safety polices of the company. He is now also getting more involved in the new build projects, working alongside the Estates and Development team to ensure that health and safety is at the forefront of Hallmark’s new care homes and that H&S is considered in the design and build phases.
He named ‘Exceptional Newcomer of the Year’ award at the 2015 Wales Care Awards and nominated for Health and Safety Award at the 2017 Wales Care Awards. He also won the ‘Rising Star’ award at the Hallmark Care Homes Awards 2015, an internal awards ceremony recognising the company’s team.
Aneurin really is an up and coming star within Hallmark Care Homes and will go far within the company. His ambition is to continue training in order to take the company to the next level and ensure everyone is equipped to deliver high quality, relationship-centred care to all residents.
