Jeremy joined the Four Seasons Healthcare Group in May 2014, tasked with establishing a standalone private pay focused premium care provider.
Having previously created and run a number of successful leisure & hospitality businesses, Jeremy was struck by the old fashioned, hierarchical and fear driven culture in care, and set about establishing a business that was based on the old fashioned principles of good leadership, an open, honest and supportive working environment and a transparent culture.
Three years later, brighterkind is one of the industry’s leading care home operators, with a service based around delivering outstanding care, invigorating recreation & activities programmes, and a consistently good food & dining experience. Underpinning the business is an innovative approach to learning, development and leadership.
Feedback and communication channels have been created to enable everyone to have a voice and contribute to the company’s development. The success of the cultural change can already be seen in the falling team turnover and increasing employee net promoter scores.
2017 has been a breakthrough year for the business with a number of awards recognising the progress that has been made including being awarded the Residential Healthcare Provider of the Year accolade at the recent Heath Investor awards.
