Tracy started her career as a 16-year-old, working shifts with her mum in a service for people with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. Eighteen years on, having developed a passion for the very highest standards of care, she has just passed her 10th anniversary with Heathcotes, having joined as a Registered Manager.
After performing well in various roles with the Group, Tracy found an ideal fit as Head of Quality & Compliance overseeing Learning/Development and QA, leading a team of Auditors using a tool she developed which links directly to the CQC KLOE and has been a major contributor to Heathcotes’ exceptional CQC ratings profile.
Tracy also has a remit to undertake the Group’s ‘Strategic Projects’ – including an overhaul of the entire suite of Policies and Procedures, a new service model for children and a project which enabled many Heathcotes service users to register to vote and take part in the EU Referendum and UK elections. She is currently working on a project to collect sophisticated Equality and Diversity data across the entire group – which will lead to a series of measures to ensure that the workforce reflects the communities it serves.
Tracy developed an apprenticeship programme which recorded a qualification achievement rate of 83.7% in 2016/17 – over 13% above the national average and almost 20% above the sector average. This has helped to reduce staff turnover to 3.2% compared to an industry average of 25.4%.
