Julie has transformed care delivery, monitoring and reporting since joining the Hallmark team in September 2015. She has ensured good quality care through introducing bi-annual mock CQC/CSSIW inspections at each Hallmark care home, providing full feedback and quality ratings to home managers.
Julie reviews the outcomes of the audit programme, analysing trends in order to direct improvement strategies, such as focused, additional training, support and the development of policies and procedures to address areas where improvement can be made.
Care quality is measured through this audit programme and through completion of the compliance monitoring tool, where Hallmark capture audit outcomes and clinical markers. Julie is able to cross reference outcomes with notifications to CQC/CSSIW or safeguarding boards.
Julie has identified themes for improvement so that Hallmark can deliver truly excellent care. This has prompted her to implement 40 policies since her appointment to include: Safeguarding Adults; Consent for Photography for Marketing Purposes; End of Life; Pets and Visiting Animals; Records Management and Clinical Records Keeping; Privacy, Dignity and Respect. Julie also line manages the Health and Safety Manager and together they have written health and safety and training policies, in addition to helping develop Hallmark Care Homes’ Dementia Strategy.
