2016 LEADERS IN CARE ESTATE MANAGEMENT AND BUILD: David Brill, director, Stepnell

With funding increasingly hard to find for care home developments, David Brill and Stepnell have sought to stay ahead of the pack by building it cheaper and faster.

Using their innovative, flexible pre-designed model Stepnell pledge to construct homes 30% faster and 25% cheaper than traditional builders.

The bullish approach has begun to reap dividends for the business with work on construction of the first care home using the model beginning in South Cerney, Gloucestershire, a 64 bed nursing home. In a major coup for the business, Stepnell has also begun work on a £17 million care home in High Wycombe for The Royal Star & Garter Homes, a charity that cares for disabled ex-servicemen and women.
