2016 LEADERS IN CARE EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT: Avnish Goyal, managing director & chair, Care Homes and Care England

Avnish Goyal 2

A visionary with a burning desire to make a difference, Avnish Goyal is the managing director of award-winning care provider, Hallmark Care Homes.

By founding the company and purchasing his first care home in Wales in 1997, Avnish began his journey to realising his vision of becoming recognised as the leading provider of high quality relationship-centred care for all residents.
Nineteen years on, there are now 15 Hallmark Care Homes across England and Wales, with more in the pipeline and the company is recognised as a leading, financially stable provider.

In November 2015, Avnish scooped the prestigious accolade of ‘Care Personality of the Year’ at the National Care Awards and in 2014 Hallmark Care Homes was awarded ‘Care Group of the Year.’ Hallmark has also won the Pinders Healthcare Design Awards for its new builds for five years running.

This has partly inspired the company’s latest venture into construction, launching Goldfinch Developments as a cost saving initiative with the former directors of Baxter and King Construction. None of this would have been possible without Avnish’s drive and determination to be the best. He is proud to be the Chair of Care England and the founding trustee of the Care Workers’ Charity.

The executive management category is sponsored by Nursing Hygiene Group.
