“Having worked closely with Bield for a number of years, we appreciate the high standards expected in what is a significant contract for the local area.”

Under the project, seven of 26 bedsits will be converted into one bed flats.

The work is part of a rolling programme to convert all Bield’s bedsit properties into one bed flats for current and future tenants.

Tracey Howatt, Bield’s Housing Operations Manager, said: “Rodgers and Johnston have worked with us on a number of occasions and we are pleased to be doing so again.

“It is great to be using a local contractor ensuring that not only will Livingston benefit from the improvements to Restondene but funds will stay in the area.”

This investment is part of Bield’s Asset Management Strategy which will make improvements to its developments across Scotland.

Bield has been providing housing and related services for older people in Scotland for more than 40 years, including those who require constant care as well as residents living fully active and independent lives.
