Care home providing charity the Methodist Homes Association (MHA) has received a glowing report from its residents.
The charity’s care homes scored an average of 881 out of 1,000 for Staff and Care, and 934 out of 1,000 for Quality of Life in a Your Care Rating survey.
Carol Artis, Director of Care Homes at MHA said: “Our high scores in the above areas reflect the person-centred care we nurture at MHA. We’re passionate about getting it right for our all residents, always respecting that care homes are homes first and foremost – we strive to make our residents feel as happy, comfortable and at-home as we possibly can.
“We’re delighted to have made some fantastic improvements this year and scored well across the board. We’re constantly working to better our offering and we’re committed to taking part in this survey every year and receiving feedback from our residents for this reason.”
Your Care Rating is the largest survey of care home residents covering over 18,000 residents and 914 care homes across the UK.
Care homes are given an overall score out of 1,000 based on residents’ feedback across four themes: Staff and Care; Home Comforts; Choice and Having a Say; and Quality of Life.
MHA recently celebrated its second ‘outstanding’ rating from the CQC (see picture).
