Suffolk based provider KGR Healthcare has been told both its care homes are Inadequate.
A spokesman for KRG Healthcare said: “We have been working closely with the CQC and other stakeholders since the inspection and are a considerable way through a review into operating policies and are working extremely hard to make the necessary improvements.
“We would emphasise that our care remains at the core of what we do and that changes are being introduced to ensure the quality of care develops to ensure our residents’ needs are met.
“We wish to reassure the residents and their families that we are taking this report very seriously.
“We appointed a new management team at Manor Farm in August 2017 who have worked extremely hard to completely turn it around and enhance the life of our residents.
“Significant improvements have been made at both homes since their respective inspections and we have set our teams in both homes on a journey to excellence.”
The CQC said people at both homes were put at the risk of “significant harm” due to a lack of clear records and assessments of current risks and how they should be managed.
People were also found to be at risk of malnutrition.
At Lound Hall, the CQC said medicines were not managed and administered safely and recruitment procedures were not safe with people starting work before appropriate checks had been made.
