New manager aims to turnaround nursing home

A Rugby nursing home has brought in a new manager to turn around its reputation.

Willow Tree Nursing Home, owned by Culpeper Care Limited, has appointed experienced elderly care specialist Jackie Huckvale.

Mrs Huckvale, who moved into the care sector in 1997 after 10 years as a registered nurse, said: “Everyone here at Willow Tree is focussed on the future and on restoring our good name as a home which provides a world-class level of care.

“We are well on the way to taking things back to that highest level.

“Care is all about quality and I am looking forward to delivering the best standards at Willow Tree, working closely with our team to make a difference to the lives of our residents and building even better levels of trust with their relatives.

“We are already making an impact and showing families how serious we are about delivering a step-change in quality.”

The move follows a report by the CQC following an inspection in October which rated aspects of its services ‘inadequate’.

The home, which specialises in caring for elderly patients requiring personal, nursing and dementia care, is due for a further inspection in the next six months.
