Majesticare, a care home group with eight homes across the UK, is embarking on its most ambitious project to date with the construction of an £8 million luxury care home in Worcestershire.
The home, which is in the early phases of construction in the village of Fernhill Heath near Worcester, will offer 66 en suite bedrooms, hotel-style dining facilities and day rooms, its own private cinema, hairdressing salon and therapy spa.
The project was given the green light after Majesticare secured £5.1 million in funding from Yorkshire Bank. It is likely to become the flagship property for Majesticare as it pushes upstream into the luxury end of the care market.
“As a business, we aim to develop luxurious and nurturing environments in all our locations, however Fernhill is particularly special, incorporating hotel-like facilities while maintaining a homely feel. This will create a positive, engaging environment for our residents to live, and staff to work in,” said Steve Oakes, director of Majesticare.
