Eagle Nursing Home in Lincolnshire has been closed after an inspection revealed resident welfare concerns.
A CQC spokesperson said: “Following information highlighted by Lincolnshire County Council, CQC carried out an inspection at Eagle Nursing Home in Lincolnshire on 6 and 7 June 2018, which identified serious concerns.
“As a result of the inspection CQC is taking urgent action to protect the safety and welfare of people using the service. While our legal processes do not allow us to go in to further detail at this time a report of our inspection will be published in due course. Meanwhile we continue to work with our partner agencies locally, such as the county council. Any action CQC takes is open to appeal.”
Executive member for adult care, Cllr Patricia Bradwell, added: “We can confirm that we have already taken steps to ensure residents affected by the situation at Eagle Nursing Home are receiving the right care and support.
“The standards in the care home were not adequate and having worked closely with the Care Quality Commission and local NHS commissioners, we have taken the decision to move residents so they get the best care and support possible.”
