Herefordshire Care Homes group has strengthened its nursing care with the purchase of its sixth home.
The purchase of Hazelhurst Nursing Home in Bishopswood, Ross on Wye, comes after the group’s Charnwood Care Home (pictured) became the first in Herefordshire to be awarded an Outstanding CQC rating.
Herefordshire Care Homes owner Karen Rogers said: “We have a belief that choosing to live in a care or nursing home is increasingly a preferred choice for many older people reducing loneliness and isolation and giving people back friendships and a sense of purpose.
“Each individual’s wellbeing is at the heart of what we do. I am looking forward to getting to know the residents, their families and the staff in the coming weeks and enhancing the care and experience they already receive. We have an aim to be outstanding in all our homes and have a reputation for being the first choice for care provision in the county.”
Hazelhurst Nursing Home is set in 18 acres of land, and currently registered for 42 residents with outline planning for another 13 rooms and a separate specialist Dementia Care Unit.
