Essence, a technology company specialising in cloud-based security and care solutions, is exhibiting its Care@home platform.
The platform is typically used in domiciliary care, but is equally applicable in care home and assisted living environments, according to Essence head of marketing Rafi Zauer.
Care@Home uses sensors around a home to monitor and learn the daily habits of elderly people. It then crunches the data to intelligently identify any changes to these behaviours that might indicate any new health problems or changes to a person’s wellbeing.
This allows care professionals to intervene early, often preventing more serious problems that result from falls or rapidly deteriorating health.
