Innovative Aged Care founder Laurence Geller has revealed plans to roll-out his luxury dementia care home model across London.
One year on from the launch of Chelsea Court Place, an exclusive, 15-bed dementia care home offering premium bespoke care, Laurence told CHP that he planned to roll-out the model at other sites across the capital.
“We believe that the depth of the market exists and it can be profitable enough to give us adequate returns,” Laurence said.
“This is my passion and mission. This is about trying to address a massive societal issue. I am committed to establishing a culture of excellence that just doesn’t exist.”
The US-based hotelier and philanthropist said he was looking at larger sites in the London area of up to 25-40 units.
“We think that is probably a good size where we can still get a level of intimacy,” he told CHP.
“We want to establish a known brand so people know what to expect.
“We will be announcing new properties that can get under development, hopefully in the first half of the year if not before.“
Laurence said the new homes would offer the Memory and Day Care concept offered by Chelsea Court Place, which allows members to enjoy activities, excursions and social interaction, while providing respite, as well as training and support for their carers.
