Oxfordshire based Memoria is targeting care home providers with its cremation and pre-paid funeral plan services.
The business is among the exhibitors at the Dementia Care & Nursing Home Expo at the Birmingham NEC this week.
CEO Howard Hodgson told CHP: “This is our first care event. It’s been very busy.
“We’ve been working very successfully with hospices for the past nine months so we thought it was time to offer our services to dementia and residential care homes.
“Our funeral plans offer residents of any care facility, a practical and easy way to both record their wishes and pay for their funeral now, thus enabling them to can get on with living their lives.”
Conscious of the challenging environment facing nursing and care homes, Memoria’s standard plan pays a £200 introducer fee to care providers who recommend their services.
Clients purchasing a plan with an end of life prognosis of less than 12 months are also eligible for a 50% reduction in administration fees – a first in the pre-paid funeral plan sector.
Memoria, through its subsidiary Low Cost Funeral Ltd, also handles removal and transportation of the deceased to services carried out at its national chain of crematoria.
