Countrywide Healthcare reveals fresh brand identity

Countrywide Healthcare has refreshed its corporate branding a year after it was acquired in a management buyout thanks to a £2.7 million financing arrangement with Octopus Investments.

The South Yorkshire-based company supplies a range of nursing, medical, furniture and janitorial products to the care home sector.

The supplier worked with Sparks Studio, a branding and design agency based in London, Healthcare to transform their brand, while an in house team at Healthcare relaunched its website and online presence.

In a competitive sector with several other national distributors offering a similar service, Countrywide Healthcare needed a more modern, distinctive brand to achieve their aim of becoming the market leader and natural choice for care providers across the UK, the company admitted.

Michael Gough, Sparks Studio creative director, said his brief was to ensure that Countrywide stood out. “Branding in the care sector is often generic, corporate and dull. The new brand for Countrywide shows that if businesses are willing to be a bit creative, they can have much more impact,” he explained.
