CloserStill Media buys The Care Show

The UK’s largest care home event, The Care Show, has been acquired by healthcare event specialist CloserStill Media from UBM.

The annual event, which takes place next month on October 10 and 11 at the NEC, Birmingham, is the UK’s leading dedicated exhibition for the residential and domiciliary care sector.

CloserStill director Michael Westcott commented: “We are honoured and excited to be given the opportunity to apply the experience and expertise of our large and passionate healthcare team to maintain the Care Show’s leadership position in the sector. We are working with the existing Care Show team to explore new and innovative ways to foster even closer relationships between the trade and the show’s audiences.

CloserStill operates 15 trade shows and conferences in the medical and healthcare sector which delivered more than 60,000 delegates in 2016. Its leading brands include Health+Care, Acute & General Medicine, Best Practice, The Pharmacy Show, The Dentistry Show, the London Vet Show, Occupational Therapy, Therapy Expo and Clinical Pharmacy Congress.
