Caring Homes opens Kingsclear in Surrey

Surrey Heath Deputy Mayor Dan Adams cuts the official opening ribbon along with Home Manager Diane Stone, Kingsclear’s first resident Karen Machers and her husband Phil, and Caring Homes Founding Director Helena Jeffery.

Caring Homes has officially opened its Kingsclear facility in Camberley, Surrey.

Surrey Heath Deputy Mayor Dan Adams cut the official opening ribbon along with Caring Homes founding director Helena Jeffery and Kingsclear’s first resident Karen Machers, who moved into home in September.

Helena said: “It is wonderful to see everyone here to celebrate the opening of the new Kingsclear. This home has always had a reputation for good care, which will continue as will the excellent engagement with the Camberley community.”

More than 60 guests attended the event, including representatives from four local charities which received a charitable donation to mark the opening of the home and the building of lasting relationships with the community.

Kingsclear by Caring Homes, at Park Road is designed around the needs of its residents and is designed to provide the highest level of residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 97 residents.

Guests enjoyed festive food and drink plus music from Camberley and District Silver Band. The four charities which Kingsclear is supporting are:  Camberley Rotary; St Mary’s Nursery; Camberley Care Trust; and Stroke Association.
